I have always been a huge fan of Frank Frazetta. Lately, I’ve been immersing myself in his work (both his eye for dramatic composition and his interpretation of the human figure are legendary).

I was doing a quick study of one of Frazetta’s earlier and somewhat more obscure works called The Monster Men and it took on a life of its own. This Lovecraft-inspired charcoal drawing was the result.

The original was sold to a private collector in July, 2013.
